Rolling the new lore skills

Unread post by Rhifox »

Since it's very unclear for a lot of people, here's how you roll the new lore skills without using the normal DMFI skill roller:

Open the language window (IE using Common).

Type .roll with the lore choice following it.

This works for other skills too, but that's already fairly known. The new languages has been what's been stumping people I've noticed, as people have normally tried rolling the full names (lore: X) which only ever gets arcana.

The names you use for the skills are:
  • Lore: Arcana - lore (.roll lore)
  • Lore: Arch-Engineering - architecture (.roll architecture)
  • Lore: Dungeoneering - dungeoneering (.roll dungeoneering)
  • Lore: Geography and Astronomy - geography (.roll geography)
  • Lore: History - history (.roll history)
  • Lore: Local - local (.roll local)
  • Lore: Nature - nature (.roll nature)
  • Lore: Nobility & Royalty - nobility (.roll nobility)
  • Lore: Religion - ???
  • Lore: The Planes - theplanes (.roll theplanes)
Religion I have not been able to determine. .roll religion doesn't work, nor do similar terms (god, deity, theology, etc) or misspellings (relgion, religon). Anyone figured that out?

Thanks, this is useful information.

Yeahbig thumbs up, after a few months break I was a bit puzzled over how to roll the new lore skills.

Can't you do .roll engineering btw? Might be slightly easier for some of us foreigners than architecture ^^

Nope, you can't.

Yeah I saw that one before. I didn't recall it listing languages when I read it though (was before Endelyon's post on it), which is why I made a separate thread for it. Probably best to just sticky Lux's! :)

I put Lux's thread and Karond's guides in the Gameplay Guides forum.

Adding buttons to the DMFI thing is on our to-do list. This will work fine in the meantime. The to-do list is really long... :o :?
PC1 = Nerys, Emissary and Skald of the Greyfox tribe, roaming north near Secomber
PC2 = Valqis Sanejmeh; far away cartographer, Oracle of Nut at chaltin QulDaq, former navigator of the Sea Seeker, Reader of Candlekeep and sometime performer.
