Bard damage output

Hey guys, seeing bards hit for around 300 damage a round. Was wondering how that was possible? Even with song of Requiem I don't even see that much damage potential.

Also, would a bard be a good build to solo some of these server bosses for loot runs? Kind of like a favored soul? Or should I just scrap the idea and do a favored soul to begin with?

Would love some feedback.

Bards work just fine for soloing plenty of the content around, no doubt a more min maxed version than mine with a better class layout could perform even better, but even in my build it seems fairly easy for the most part.

Not entirely on the FS level of power, but then again, it might be those little tweaks in a build that gets you there or a lot of consumables.

Spell progression: favored soul.
Go str build.

Level 9 spells.
Requiem.
Songs.
Stormsinger songs.
Skill points out the wazoo.

Your caster level will be horrid tho. 24 tops. But other than that your solid .

Bards with requiem up along with lots of buffs can also add 1-4 sonic to their weapon so with IPA up they can indeed get some pretty strong damage numbers even without Stormsinger (which technically should not get song progression when you select FS spell progression...but it always has so fair game).

Bard is right up there with FS in regards to being able to solo most of the top bosses. White Dragon thread recently had some comments about FS and Bard being a good duo to take on the white dragon...
