this is what im using atm. it's pretty fun.

PSC would be beneficial earlier in the build unless you want to be dispelled often... If you are going to take a non-epic feat in the epic levels I would move out one of the others and take PSC at level 9 (or your next feat).

Not very good at archery builds personally, but I thought Rapid Shot and Manyshot only worked with bows, not crossbows (at least the feat descriptions indicate they only work with bows) while Rapid shot works for crossbows, but you can actually get that feat on some of the better / epic crossbows so may not need to actually take that feat.

id love to take PSC sooner and not in epic lvls but i can not find a way to fit it in preepic...

rapid shot allow one additional shot with xbow and manyshot is very effictive in crossbow sniper builds.

rapid shot feat (non item based) is needed to prequal for manyshot. otherwise, id use an item.

41 ac and 45 ab with xbow @lvl 26, while buffed.

if i calc'd correctly, should hit ab of 50 even at 30buffed, im not sure if ac can get any higher. casterlvl 28@30, sneak, HiPS, traps, locks, decent saves.

i still get owned though, for real. even when im super careful, i get owned. i feel like you need ab and ac in the 50's for epic areas.

the high caster lvl sniper can get decent AC, 50 prob possible with ideal gear and can ward very well but damage tapers. high damage sniper ie, f/a/aa/ea, can't get ac high enough and HiPS as good as it is will not save you if youre rocking 30ac.

bard has to be the best xbow sniper class to go with. f4/bard26, great in parties being what makes this build the better one imo. i just feel the need to be able to find and remove traps and open locks... id prefer to have tracking in there too but all my ranger sniper builds come up short.

Not sure how you get owned with 50 AC and hips on a 28 CL mage... My ranger assassin never got above 45 or so AC, but could still solo MOST epic areas as a melee. I would say maybe you're not using hips enough? Or perhaps work on your positioning when you attack out of hips. Make sure you're using appropriate buffs too.
