I've only posted upon this forum once or twice, and in all honesty i don't even play orcish characters, however i noticed a few things that bugged me about the two playable orcish races.
Lets start with Gray orcs.
Now in all honesty i can understand why they were used, it was a race that was already there that didn't need to be implemented. However i find it strange that this is an orcish subrace that we are using. It isn't very common to the area, infact they arn't really around the sword coast.
In all honesty i think this subrace should be either edited, or taken out and replaced with the much more common of the area mountain orc.
I know that there would be some concern perhaps about the rather advantageous +4 to str that mountain orcs get, but for the sake of server balance that could easily be changed to +2 str and +2 con. It would concrete them as a really good barbarian race, which is their favoured class.
Now Tanarukk.
These little demon orcs are laughable on the server, mainly because they are so short, i know they are canon wise, short. However i believe the model was made far too short, so much so that it makes them feel less intimidating then they should be.
I also feel like the stats and some abilities should be completely overhauled and the level adjustment either bumped up to drow or svirf levels.
Their original abilities are as such.
+4 Strength, +2 Dexterity, -2 Wisdom, -4 Charisma. Tanarukks are strong and agile, but have short attention spans and aggressive natures.
Medium-size. Tanarukks are squat, but broad, like a dwarf.
Tanarukk land speed is 20 feet.
Darkvision up to 60 feet.
Fire resistance 10.
Spell resistance of 14 + class level.
+4 natural armor.
Now i know all that is a bit crazy, right there but if we look at the svirfneblin.
Slippery defense already gives a +4 dodge armor class, they also have spell resistance, several racial spells and bonuses against other races in combat, illusion affinity, skill affinities, and a +2 to all saves, coupled with a bit more.
So i think the above abillities and changes would cement them as the intimidating force they are supposed to be, coupled with an increase to +3 ecl it would make them as difficult as a deep gnome to level up.
When looking at the deep gnome and the drow, i believe this would be a fair trade for a +3 ecl, with perhaps a drop of the spell resistance to 11 + class level.

Svirf's do not get Slippery Defense on the server. They are ECL 2.

Oh well, in that case just drop the natural armor that Tanarukk get and make them a +2 ecl. My bad, should of done more research ^_^

We are stuck with the orcs we have. RP wise, they shouldn't be here. FvS shouldn't be here ether. It is far harder to axe something we have than adding something new. I'm not going to get on board with the removal of any races since there are too many people devoted to the RP.
I would support adding other races to encourage others to play them instead. I'd like to see several actually. Mountain orcs, kobolds, star elves, and ghostwise halflings. I don't know if it is going to happen though.
I'd welcome any model changes, but that requires a NWN2 wizard to do IRL.
