Magic Circle vs Alignment - Removed Randomly

Unread post by Glowfire »

As the title says, this spell randomly gets removed from my character. I haven't noticed a pattern to it yet and it doesn't happen all the time. No combat involved and no dispels. Just walking on a road or whatever and it disappears.

A bit frustrating as I'm using a higher level spell slot for it. Please don't tell me the fix is to use Prot from Alignment. I prefer to not have the visible circle!

Does it get removed at the same time intervals ( when it gets removed )?

its a combination of lag and the fact you are using a spell with a large ground vfx, battletide has the same issue

it happens without lag but lag makes it way worse, not entirely sure if its mostly related to just the vfx tho

i say large ground vfx because as far as i know a spell like death armor which has a small ground vfx doesnt have that issue

invisibility circle could potentially have the issue but who even uses that long enough to figure it out? :P

I have noticed a similar issue with invisibility. It may not be related, but maybe it is. Some spells may be dropping unreported as well.

I know Sigil had an issue where aura spells would drop off a character if the aura affected someone who had Improved Uncanny Dodge.

Were there any characters around who had that feat when your aura spells suddenly failed on you?

Its happened to my Sacred Fist, with both Magic Circle and battle tide. He has Uncanny Dodge.

No, random.

Been keeping a closer eye on it and indeed, lagspike or rubberbanding removes it. :( Not sure there is always lag but it might be small scale that I don't pick up but the game still does.

Nope! Happened in a party where no character had that feat but also when alone.
