Rashid al Kaliq - Doombringer
(No profile picture for now)
Image
Race/Origins: Human - Calishite from Calimport with a slight accent of alzhedo(Language spoken in Southern Faerûn/Calimshan).
Age: Early 30's.
Height and weight: 6' 2" / 180 lbs.
Deity and class: Hoar - Doombringer.
Initial Alignment: Lawful Neutral.

Appearance/health and gear:

With typical hair, eye and skin-tone given his origins, Rashid appears relatively well traveled, and it would be apparent that he's been on the road for a while. In spite of that, his beard is meticulously clean shaven, and a stubble is rarely spotted. Sturdy but lean, broad shouldered and strong, he wears his armor clean and polished and his clothing as well taken care of as he can. A white turban hides most of his long hair away, and he wears silver rings in each ear. A heavy backpack rests on his back, and he is seen carrying several weapons, most notably, he has a bastard sword sheathed in a scabbard at his side, a warhammer attached to his armor underneath the backpack, and a curved dagger rests in his belt. His heavy shield displays the symbol of Hoar, holding the two-faced coin in a hand, and around his chest he wears a large expensive looking gemstone with the same symbol skillfully carved in to it by an artisan.

Personality Profile:
Rashid tends to be rather mellow in general. His mood seems stable, and he's neither quick to joy nor anger. He is overall calm, methodical and collected. Directed by a strong personal code, he would rarely ever lie and is loyal and reliable nearly to a fault. As evident by his faith and profession, he believes in the spirit of the law, not the letter of it, in which he is generally well educated. Having spent a year on the road, travelling along the Sword Coast, Rashid is trying to find his place in Faerûn, more than anything, and would aside from his divine duties never be opposed to either adventure, friendships or making enemies. Though sometimes, and even often so friendly and approachable, he can be equally austere when it comes to vengance. His greatest fear is usually being inadequate or breaking his personal code. He prefers fighting smart, rather than confidently, and has no issue backing down from a superior enemy, saving his vengance for another time, to take a month to investigate, prepare and seek perfection in his duties.

Background(A much longer version will be added... Some day soon):
Rashid was born as the third son and raised in Calimport and lived a relatively normal life in one of the nicer wards, with several brothers and sisters. His family was relatively wealthy, and worshipped mostly Waukeen and Tempus due to his fathers former life as a soldier, now a merchant. Following in his fathers footsteps, he became a soldier at the age of 18 and spent most of his days the coming years with the caravans crossing the desert, often at the behest of his fathers merchants. In an attempt to elevate himself to one of the Pashas, a battle broke out between his fathers house, and one of his rivals, which ended in the majority of his family being slain. After many months of seeking vengance, he sought out and found a small temple and a gathering of Doombringers. He became an apprentice and spent many months in the company of a Chessentan priest of Hoar, being taught the ways of retribution - eye for an eye, and the spirit of the law, not the word of it. After many months of preparation and hiring of assassins, he found his revenge, killing his fathers murderer by himself but was ultimately forced to flee Calimport, chased by the Calimshan Amlakkar(Police of sorts). He managed to book passage to Amn, selling his last remaining possessios to the sea captain willing to take a fugitive and left his homeland behind. Now, having spent over a year travelling the Sword Coast and staying in Athkatla, as a wandering priest of the Lord of Three Thunders, he finds himself in Baldurs Gate, unaware of the adventures that might await, ignorant to the politics and powers of the region. A foreigner, even further away from home, only one task is clear. To continue what his old mentor Pharaxes taught him, to spread the word of his Patron. To follow his own version of "true" justice, wherever the road might lead.
