1. Clean up the thread and have only the information needed to download the correct patches - make it very simple to read and understand exactly what you need to do.
2. Please, for complete neophytes like me, have a step by step instruction list of how to do it; where the files go in what folder on your PC, etc. etc.
3. Add a manual way to load the patches if the links don't work or there are other issues (which is what I ended up doing.)
Manual Load:
1. Go to https://neverwintervault.org/patch/nwn2 ... her-tnt220 and download the patcher (there is a link .zip, click and it will open)
2. Scroll down and click on http://neverwintervault.org/patches - this will take you to the patch page.
3. There is a whole catalog of patches, and drop-down menu's to select the ones you need. I selected: Under "Game" NwN2; under "Patch" Obsidian; under "Platform" PC; under "Language" English; under "Reqs" xp2; and then I hit "Apply"
4. This takes you to a list of patches. I needed everything from 1.20.2541 to 1.23.1765. The English ones are at the top of the list.
5. Starting with the one at the bottom, click the link and a new page opens where you click the same link and download the patch. I saved it to a folder on my desktop.
6. On the patcher, click to open the patch file you just saved, then click the location of the NeverwinterNights root directory, and click patch. It will take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.
7. Repeat until all the patches are done.
Make sure you load the correct language files...
If you get an error message, it is likely you missed a patch on the list - go back and reload the older one(s) again. If you already have the patched information, it will just say completed when you try to update, so go to the next one.
It took me about 60 minutes to do this; 40 spent figuring out how, and 20 to do it...
