Groundbreaking



Rumors spread of the construction of a new tavern and shipping mercantile along the coast of Ulgoths Beard. The project is apparently being funded by a merchant known to be The Storm as he felt it was a good business venture for the new up and coming gathering called "The Second Smile." The aim to which is to bring joy and happiness to all walks of life. The project being lead by Hazel Jynx and Jamie Lightbringer.

Hearing about an inn being constructed in Ulgoth beard, the Thayan Khazark sends words to those in charge, then later on, to the owner of that new place being built.

Hazel smiles as she finishes the last work order and places the paper on a big pile of similar looking papers. Even though she dozed off due to lack of sleep a few times in the last hour, she still tries hard to keep up a smile, even when she notices yet another stack of unfinished papers on her desk that she completely forgot about.

It is okay, I do not need to worry about it. It might seem a lot now, but as soon as I am finished I will feel happy for doing a job well done! She says out loud, even though there is no one is around to hear it but herself.
Her personal motivational speech seemed to have worked, as she takes to top paper of the pile and gets back to work.

Hmm, this is not another work permit? Oh wait I know who this is from. I like friends, especially those you meet in places you would not expect. I like other friends as well of course, oh and I like those you meet in places you do expect because you usually get to meet more new friends then. I like the gate at the Friendly Arms Inn. The silly piggy taking a bath haha, what a great day that was. I wonder...no I need to focus, back to work missy! Hahaha Oink must be the funniest word that I..No focus! having a good focus is good I think, gets most work done. Like today is a good day for working. It makes new friends happy, but old ones as well. Especially those who count on you.

While continuing to talk about locations that allow her to meet new friends, she takes an blanc paper out of her drawer and dips her quill in a small vial of ink and starts writing a letter.

Recruitment

A group of investors gather at a series of Inns all along the coast. Though their investment has broken ground, they still haven't the staff to supply their dream of providing happiness or turning a profit.

The Investors consisted of a short dark skinned hinn that wouldn't stop talking, a masked chilling blue man who's head circled with a bolts of lightning, a paladin with bright blond hair and a shining set of golden armor, and a bald tattooed wizard clad in red robes. One of the 4 would consistently tack a notice on the door of each of their visited locations where they would sit and bicker back and fourth sparing no expense on the food and drink. There they would sit all day as various patrons would approach the 4 and begin a long or extremely short interview. Once night fell, they would travel to the next tavern and rest for the night only to begin the process again in the morning.

The Broken Goblet Tavern -Roaringshores



A dark haired woman in a black Victorian dress walks through the loud and lively crowd of the rough tavern. She carries with her a large leather case. Clearly a vessel for carrying the viol that she has become popular playing. The beauty of her face is hidden by a mask of grief so deep that those that look upon her are infected with the same sadness she bares. Cat calls ring out as the woman approaches the modest stage. Those giving out the rude comments are quickly put back in line by nearby patrons that seem to know something that the offenders may not. Upon passing a group of four, the dour woman leans down placing a gloved hand on the hin's shoulder and whispers something in her ear, "It is good to see you again my friend." Offering a glance to each of the others at the table she gives not a greeting, but a sad and remorseful half-smile. Turning back, she moves on toward the stage. Patrons shift and scoot to allow her to pass. The chatter of the bar, still loud with drinking and boasting seems unwelcoming to any sort of musical performance, but still she moves into position and withdraws her instrument. Taking the stool offered by one of the patron Rue sits placing the viol at her left thigh. Looking down at the instrument in complete concentration, the dour woman pauses briefly before drawing the bow across the strings of her viol. The song she plays is nicely performed albeit non-typical of such an audience. As she moves along in the music the crowd settles and discontinues the conversations until the bar is all silent except the mournful music being played by the beautiful dirge. The despairing song fills the minds of those listening with the sad memories of their past. Each listener falling into the music draws closer to the pain the memory holds. Every song brings out another painful memory, but the crowd is not displeased by the music and the silent pause by the audience after the performance is completed is offering of the mournful pleasure they all felt from the moving and touching concert.

Hearing a familiar voice, hazel jumps up and runs over to her friend.

Rue! it is you Rue! Oh it is so great to see you again.
We are discussing the details about the modes of transport, it is all very important stuff.
Hmm maybe I should not have walked away yet


Looks over back to the table she just ran away from and yells:

is it okay if I talk to Rue? She is my friend and I wanted to say hi, but I forgot we were still talking. Or are we done? I can come back if you need me. I don't mind continuing our talk. I like talking.

Continues to talk while turning back to Rue, not giving anyone at the table time to actually respond to her.

So I found these really pretty pillows. They have different colors, you like colors as well don't you Rue? Black is the prettiest, but I like the others as well. So the place we found has an amazing sauna, but we might need to get rid of it unfortunately.
Oh and we might need to build a new roof, have you ever build a new roof? I haven't, bet it is a lot of work to build a roof. Would be a shame if it started raining while you are building a roof. The pillows would get all wet.
Do you like red pillows better than purple ones? I think it depends on the fire.
What kind of fire place should we get? Oh never mind that for now, how have you been?
Have you learned new pretty melodies to play? You should play with Iris sometimes; she is really good at it as well.
Oh you were already playing music, sorry I interrupted. I will listen until you are done.

Takes a seat on the ground to listen to the music, while staring enthusiastically at Rue.
