What is the max preferable for a character who can take these skills?

Now tumble, hide and move silent I already figure you want 33 max stat not counting items or feats.

But what about lore or use maic device or sense motive, does anyone even us it?

I think with Magic device its 20?

UMD depends. If you want to use scrolls, go for 33. If you don't want to use scrolls, go 13.

For the lore skills, it depends on how knowledgeable you want your character to be in each subject. The DCs are in the description (10 for easy questions, 15 for moderate questions, 20 for hard questions). DCs are usually set by the DM, but most DMs conform to this standard. Every 5 points above the DC gives you another piece of information.

Tumble, should be 30.

Sense Motive, it depends. I usually find 20-25+ to be sufficient for RP.

How about search? or disable trap? open lock?


Not sure if many people use traps. I've considered using set trap. Though not sure if they are worth it.

To my knowledge, not too many folks use traps. DCs are low.

If you plan to use mirror walking or shadow walk, max search. Otherwise, 20-30 is good for it.

Disable device, I'd put at the same.

Open lock, I'd say anywhere between 15 and 25.

Like Shadow Step, it is a form of teleport spell.
