Hello! My character can Ki Step. Recently, PvP has become more of a possibility for him. It occurred to me that in PvP, if he is losing HP he could Ki Step across the map, heal up with heal kits, and Ki Step back into the fight, fresh and ready to continue.
Is this allowed in PvP? My gut feeling is "no," because when you Ki Step away from PvP, you have technically fled. Fleeing ends the PvP, so you can't just jump right back in without re-inititiating PvP through the PvP rules.
Please let me know if my character can use Ki Step to heal in safety and then continue the fight. Or maybe the question can be phrased, does Ki Step break PvP because it is fleeing?
Thank you!

I'll leave this to the DMs to answer.
There will be some changes coming to this ability in particular in the near future, most likely to include a range limit and a cooldown:
But when it comes to PVP in general, the best rule should probably be the golden rule. Make sure you're being considerate to everyone involved in the roleplay (because it is roleplay, even if it is confrontational roleplay), and that you're not just "in it to win it." A victory tastes a lot sweeter when everyone's acknowledging it, the rules have been followed, the DMs don't have to get involved to play referee, and it has an actual impact on everyone's roleplay.

My main is a monk with this ability, and yes I do agree -- it does need a limit on distance. It used to be that you could spam it constantly with no loss of stunning fist uses, now it costs x3 fist uses and has a 'casting time' which seems more fair.
The way I see it Arn, is if he is a pure monk he would be able to out run you anyway (monks running speed is crazy) infact, it would probably be easier - and safer to run as the Ki step has a animation it has to play out first now.
