Freedom of Movement
Apparently freedom of movement doesn't work with tortoise shell or any other movement decreasing spell that you cast on yourself. I figured something like this was intentional but my suggestion is to change it back to the way it was. Freedom of movement is supposed to make it so any spell that would decrease movement speed or entangle you or paralyze or slow would not effect you. It doesn't specify weather you cast it or an enemy casts it, weather it comes from a buff or not. As it stands freedom of movement is mostly useless, there are not may mobs that cast slowing or entangling effects and still a very low number of mobs that use paralysis. So I am not sure what the point in nerfing freedom of movement was, because as it stands right now, its just not good.

Re: Freedom of Movement
It does work. You just have to cast it before you cast the other spell.

Re: Freedom of Movement
Well then I guess my character is bugged because it kept saying spell failed when I did that?

Re: Freedom of Movement
Alright so its definitely a bug so if anyone could move this to the bugs section that would be Stop correcting splendid. I did a bunch of different combinations of casting the spells and in different orders and I was able to recreate what happened. So the bug has something to do with Freedom of Movment, blood magic and any spell so far as I can tell that would reduce your movement speed.
If you use FOM and say tortoise shell or foundation of stone with blood magic then it works fine.
If you don't use blood magic and use tortoise shell or foundation of stone after FOM then it also works fine.
However if you use FOM normally then activate blood magic for foundation of stone or tortoise shell then the spell fails. If you turn off blood magic after the spells fail they continue to fail unless you remove FOM and recast then without FOM.
