Hierophant is class that requires level 7 divine spells.

Suggestion1: Update Hierophant class to allow Favoured Soul spells so it can work as intended by the sources. Favored Souls should be able to become Hierophants.
Suggestion2: If suggestion1 is denied, correct source1 to match the in game class description, which excludes Favored Soul class/spells. Right now Favored Soul cannot become Hierophant, the forum class description is incorrect, the ingame class description is correct.
Additional note: Spirit Shaman cannot become Hierophant either, because it requires rank 15 of cross class skill Lore Religion. It is prevented by the rule of 3 levels in all classes by character level 20. The only work around is to not be Spirit Shaman only, and invest 3 levels in an extra class that has Lore Religion as a class skill. Friend ran into this problem and with spells split between wisdom and charisma anyway, taking levels in other classes can hurt spirit shaman spells even more. It would be good if this information is provided in Hierophant class description as well, as new players can misunderstand it, like we did.

Re: Hierophant Requirements
This was discussed and rejected by QC for balance concerns. Favored Souls are the 'top tier' of classes on the server with their ability to buff, self heal, and use multi-classing to still have all the perks such as EDM, Evasion/Expose Weakness, etc. Hierophant would allow a FS to take more levels of non-caster progression classes and still reach CL30. As it is, the popular build of FS/R/BG still hits CL28 which is completely workable, especially when re-applying buffs when they're dispelled is easy and repeatable many times. Now, due to the 7th level spells requirement I have argued that Favored Soul can only get one non-caster level progression class and Hierophant due to 3b20. However, there have been discussions about changing 3b20 as well and it was agreed upon that it would be best to leave FS out of Hierophant. As of right now there are no plans to re-open the discussion about allowing Favored Souls to take Hierophant levels.Ody wrote:Suggestion1: Update Hierophant class to allow Favoured Soul spells so it can work as intended by the sources. There are still quite a few things that need to be updated... A Valefort has stated in the past, the wiki can be updated by anyone, so should someone be willing to spend their time on it, I'm sure everyone would be very appreciative.Ody wrote:Suggestion2: If suggestion1 is denied, correct source1 to match the in game class description, which excludes Favored Soul class/spells. EDIT: Spirit Shaman only needs to multi-class with something gaining Lore: Religion as a class skill (such as Sacred Fist, Cleric or Druid) in order to take levels in Hierophant. This was intended and won't change (and by the way is a DM decision, not QC as it is more about the lore of the classes, not the balance).

They can, They just need to use another prestige or base class to open up religion.Spirit Shaman cannot become Hierophant either, because it requires rank 15 of cross class skill Lore Religion. Re: Hierophant Requirements
I do not have knowledge nor experience with multiplayer content to help with wiki. I just found wiki page for this subject, it requires no edit. But I was told to gather information on the forums not wiki, now I have to RCR and thought it would be nice to update description so it does not happen to other players who read forums instead. I don't know what was told or done in the past I am new player and the class descriptions is incorrect in the present of me reporting it. All I can do is point out and suggest correction for what I thought it was incorrectly displayed.chad878262 wrote:There are still quite a few things that need to be updated... Exactly what I said, Spirit Shaman cannot do it without other classes. Additional note of this would be very helpful to newbs like ourselves, since it can slap penalty to experience and spellcasting. Like:Ariella wrote:They can, They just need to use another prestige or base class to open up religion.
Requirements:
Race: Any
Alignment: Any
Skills: Lore: Religion 15 ranks
Feats: Any metamagic feat
Spell Level: Able to cast 7th Circle Divine spells or higher
Class: Cleric, Druid, Spirit Shaman in addition with a class or a prestige class that has Lore Religion as class skill.

Re: Hierophant Requirements
Sorry Ody, I should have read your post better. I thought the forums were correct and wiki needed updated. I have updated the Hierophant description to remove FS from allowable base classes and have added a note to clarify that Spirit Shaman must multi-class to gain access to Lore: Religion. If you happen to notice anything else that needs updated feel free to let me know.

Awesome Chad, thank you. That means this is now solved.
