What is the skill cap for server? ?

What is the skill cap for the server? I have a skill that i can not move past 83 with full gear and one spell heroism active. I am only level 27 do that have anything to do with it? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Oddly enough, skill bonus caps are quite difficult to find any information on. +20 is the 'universal cap' for things like attack bonus increase and saving throw bonus increases. However, I think I recall hearing the bonus to skills is capped at +50 which in theory should be difficult to reach. Assuming you had +4 in ever slot (head, neck, gloves, 2 rings, belt, armor, boots, weapon and off hand) that would get you to +40 and Gr. Heroism to +44, so if it is a skill that has other spells that grant a bonus you could be hitting the +50 cap on that skill.

You have weapons and rings that gives you attributes to the skill also. So having +50 is easy to get. But if 50 it is. That's cool. It would control overpowering.

Yep, I used the ring slots and weapon slots in my calculations, but yes for certain skills 50 is not that hard for casters to reach. I don't think this is a server cap though, I think it is stock NWN2 cap (though I am not sure as I'm not a coder).

Okay thanks. I get over 80+ right now. That's before I roll the die with spells. Hope I find out before I buy epic stuff. Hope a coder can let me know.

Ok, I did a search in QC forums from when we were discussing stealth/detection/C&C/Amplify/etc. and confirmed that the skill cap of +50 was mentioned in those threads so I am fairly confident I'm accurate (though yes, someone with actual toolset knowledge could probably more easily tell you what shows up in the module).

The skill cap its 50.

The feats ( stealthy, SF MS, SF Hide) dont count towards that cap. Only spells, DEX enchantment amd bonus skills from items.

does other ability enhancements from spells/item also count against the cap? Thinking of WIS For spot/listen, INT for Appraise, CHA for Perform, etc...Or is it just DEX for some strange reason?

it would be everything if it does, odd if it does count but only talking 1-2 points if so, although i suppose it would stop druids from getting too high from owls insight

That's what made me ask the question BMD, because druids seem as if they can get higher than anyone else, though that may simply be the focus on wisdom. Easy enough to test I suppose.

i doubled checked, ability bonus does not count towards skill cap at all

if it did i would have hit the cap 2 points sooner because of the dex item but it didnt
