Hello and Well met!
My wife and I will be toeing the waters of this server very soon! What guilds are active out in serverland fostering in depth -heroic- storytelling style RP?

Re: Hello and Well met!
Warm welcome! I'll let the guild leaders of the server pitch their own guilds, but there are probably over 20 active guilds at any given time. Some are more secretive than others though.
If you check my signature, below, you can find links to the server's wiki, as well as its rules. The "Lore of the Lands" forum can be a good resource for learning more about the server, with the server chronology in there a particularly good read if you want to have a bird's eye view of what's happened on the server (and how it's diverged from the canon material over the years).
If you or your spouse have any questions, feel free to ask them here, in game, or via PMs. Everyone's pretty friendly and helpful here most of the time.

Re: Hello and Well met!
The most active & populated (more than 5 players) guilds I can think of at the moment are:
Candlekeep (Neutral guild of scholars/bards/lore harvesters)
Ebon Blades (Neutral to evil-aligned mercenary company)
Halls of Inner Light (Good-aligned temple of beauty/love/art deities)
Phoenix Company (Good-aligned SJW guild)
Guild of Magi (Neutral wizard's guild)
Darius Holding Company (Neutral? mercantile guild)
Doron Amar (Inclusive good/neutral elvish settlement)
En Dharasha Everae (Reclusive neutral elvish settlement)
Aurilite Temple (Neutral/Evil aligned guild for gods of chaos)
Other active, but less populated (4 or less players) guilds include:
Baldur's Gate Thayan Enclave (Neutral/evil-aligned wizard's guild)
The Zhentarim (Evil-aligned Banite guild with the most epic base in lore-based Darkhold)
The Harpers (Neutral/Good aligned meddlers)
Kraak Helzak (Good/Neutral aligned dwarven freehold)
Song of the Morning (Good aligned Lathanderite temple)
Order of the Radiant Heart (Good aligned paladin guild)
And various UD guilds mostly centred around the mage schools.
And my own 'guild', the temple of Mystra, is about to lose its last active clergy member. RIP.
Welcome and have fun out there!

The Mirariare rising (again) from the mysterious unknown! There is much storytelling and enactment with them, if you enjoy crafting and RPing such.

I'll be your Dwarven guide today, keep your hands in the wagon at all times, and never feed the Trolls.
Tsidkenu you forgot one, the Order of the Silver Rose (OSR) Active guild. (good-aligned knightly-servant of the people type).

You should probably bump the Harpers into the top, not the bottom list.Tsidkenu wrote:Other active, but less populated (4 or less players) guilds include:

Clearly our secret identities are holding for SOME of our members
This is a fair point to make for intrigue guilds though, don't assume them not being public = inactivity. Its kind of the point, you know...
Pretty sure Z are 5+ too

http://www.realmshelps.net/faerun/organ ... pers.shtmlSome members of Those Who Harp can be identified by the magical silver crescent moon-and-harp pins they bear, but a Harper otherwise be just about anyone from any walk of life They're disorganized, secretive, and tend to have many lone wolves in their ranks. Most work informally as solo agents who never band together.

Welcome to the game! If you have interest in Helmite or otherwise martially themed LG or LN RP with a focus on training and patrolling the region, the Everwatch might be a good fit!
