Hierophant class - question

Hey guys! I came looking for your wisdom!

I'm playing a cleric and picked hierophant as prestige class. On the first level, I took empower spell as chosen feat but there was the option to pick a feat where I could choose what class I would like to proceed on the spell progression (cleric, druid, etc). As I understood that feat, it is only needed if you have more than one class that need spell progression, let say some who who have cleric and also druid for example. And so, I understood that my toon, having only the progression from cleric, dont need that.

Yet, Im concearned that I maybe have missunderstanded the feat, due to my english limitatons. Could any of you, who knows how the hierophant class works, enlight me on this? So I would know if I picked the wrong feat and will need to rcr or not.

You really needed to pick that feat with the cleric progression, otherwise you wont get spellprogression from the hierophant class.

That there are other choises to pick - thats a bug.


Best advise is ask a DM to help
or delevel you to just one xp point before you leveled up. (before you took that wrong feat)

Sorry, you have to pick the cleric progression feat ginsu, else there won't be spell progression.

It's not a bug but a limitation, likely won't change (unless you want hierophant to lose all the bonus feats ).

What advantage does having Spellpower 3 from this class have on someone with caster level 30?

Merely the small CL related advantages compared to CL 32, no DC gain but small things like better spell resistance (45 SR with the spell) and ofc duration.
