Background: Drow society does not look well upon failure and Irrace has had his share. A promising student of the Mage School and a distant cousin of the Seventh Circle Chapter Master Ilphryssin Arkentlar, he had every opportunity to become a high ranking official, had he stuck with his studies. However, unable to muster the discipline to follow the teachings of his instructors and constantly becoming distracted by one curiosity or another, Irrace eventually fell out of grace with the Instructors and leadership of the school. Seen as a failure by his family it was a near thing that he left the protection of his Que'llar without having been put to death or banished to some hellish realm. Now he is mostly concerned with staying alive with no familial protection and little in the ways of finances to keep him afloat. He has recently taken up hunting throughout the Underdark with some small amount of success, at least enough to keep him off the streets when he comes back to Sshamath to trade or rest between his forrays in to the lonely tunnels of the Underdark. He hit a stroke of luck when he chose to save the life of a deep gnome (after relieving the badly injured gnome of his coin purse). Upon dragging him to the temple in Sshamath and bringing him back from the brink of death he indentured the Svirfneblin to his service until he is able to pay back the cost of the temple fee's and the risk Irrace took in hauling him out of the tunnels. Now his future is looking a bit less bleak than it was only a few weeks ago, but there is still much that could happen to ruin him unless he is able to find sponsorship with some other organization to protect him from his family, former classmates and instructors or any other Illythirri looking to do him harm.
Goals: Attain power of the sort to put him above those who wish him harm either through connections or gaining lost and powerful magics. Stay alive another day...
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: As a relative of one of the members of the Conclave Irrace may be well known in certain circles (or those PC's with Lore:Nobility?)He has rather forgettable features, other than the fact that he is fairly skinny and unnattractive compaired to the norms of his race, which could make him easier to identify by those in the know. It's possible that Ilphryssin or another member of his family would take a special interest in bringing him back to the fold, either for punishment or perhaps to use in a covert manner against another house or members within their own house. Perhaps less likely, it's possible that he eventually does something to gain some measure of victory which washes away his past failures and wins back the good graces of the Masters/Mistressess of his house and/or the School of Mages.
