Wizard guilds?
I play a wizard and want to join a guild. RWoT isn't an option nor is Shamath school of witchcraft and wizardry. What other options exist?

Re: Wizard guilds?
Although you can count the Church of Mystra as inactive as I will be retiring my main (and by extension, that 'guild') in a few weeks' time.
The church of Shar is fairly inactive at the moment as well. Candlekeep is probably your best bet in terms of number of active players.

I think you are right. My character spoke extensively with sirion and he never even mentioned his guild.

Not inactive. The church of Shar is a guild that rather acts in secret and thus their role in the server plots is rather unkown. As example we assisted the Blight/Magmire in the attack on baldurs gate in DR 1351 by creating the first angel of death, Rakdor.Tsidkenu wrote: The church of Shar is fairly inactive at the moment as well. We might be few, but we have plently RP planned and we got DM assistance. If you want to join the dark side, this might be a good time.
Do you enjoy the embrace of the darkness?
Do you still suffer from the loss of a loved One?
Or are you seeking magical secrets, beyond normal understanding?
The Church of Shar awaits you...

Re: Wizard guilds?
Can a PC be a Sharran and a Red Wizard? Shar worship is accepted in Thay so I would imagine yes, but just wondering if a Red Wizard who joined the Sharran's would be subject to infiltration perma strike rules or could be 'openly' a member of the Sharrans with the Red Wizards?
No reason, just curious. The RP Would be rather heavy, but a W/RW/SA/AM could get some sick DC's on illusion, necromancy and/or enchantment spells. CL40, if my math is right, and only because requirements (rightfully) ensure you can only get 4 levels of Archmage if you want the full 10 in RW and SA. Same could likely be done with Blood Magus, but might only hit CL39. Is there a way to hit CL41?
Sorry, off topic, but the original question was answered and the existence of a Sharran guild and Red Wizard guild begs the question if one can be both...

Re: Wizard guilds?
Isnt that for DMs to approve? I have no clue how they would jugdge a red wizard/shadow adept build.
A few weeks ago a player asked if he could become a red wizard without joining the thayan enclave. So far I know it was approved.

Re: Wizard guilds?
The build would require dm approval, but I was more interested in the guilds.
