Light Flail in Mermaids Tavern Basement

It's light per weapon description, but can it be used with weapon finesse.

If not then for what character build is the designed flaif with hide and move silently bonus.

Weapon finesse doesn't work with it because the list of weapons the feat works with is hardcoded.

Those hide/ms flails can be good on an STR ranger.

I am pretty sure they were given the short sword template (that's why they require simple or rogue and do piercing damage and crit on 19-20 x 2) specifically to circumvent the Weapon Finesse issue. However, since a previous test showed that Weapon Focus: Flail works with the offhand flails I will run a test on this to see if Weapon Finesse applies or not.

I suppose it would be good to test Power Attack as well. Since that might pop up as well.

J/K, that's a good idea. I tried this AM, but there were no DM's online (I need them because the QC store only has a Flail, not a flail). Not sure if I will get time to test it for about a week, but I will try. I leave Saturday for Paris for a work trip and my son's baseball season just started yesterday so this may sit for a week or two. However, if anyone comes up with additional flail related questions, just post them here and whenever I do get a chance to get in game (and am able to secure DM assistance) I will run whatever tests are requested. Apologies if the delay causes anyone issued with their build, family and work first and all that.

It does not work with power attack, unless something has changed since I last bought some.

yes

and you can dual-wield a 'standard' Flail (mainhand) and a 'flail' (offhand)
