Can't log in

Hello. I'm a new user to this pw and I wasn't able to log in the first time I tried it. It says "Client and server versions do not match."

It sounds like you don't have the fully patched version of NWN2? Did you get your game from GOG, or did you get like an old hard copy DVD version?

You can download the fully patched version here (and just change the CD keys):

NWN2 fully patched, courtesy of Wandering_Woodsman. You still have to buy the game (because you need your three CD keys in order to log on), but this can help with patching the game if you don't buy it pre-patched at GOG:

Allrighties ladies and gentlemen, here's the story.

Recently, I did a full reinstall of NWN 2 to clear out any potential problems and just clean out any potential junk files that the server had used before but didn't need now.

That said, I realized in the process of re-updating to the correct version that the method was crap, and that updates were a royal pain in the <expletive deleted>.

That said, I hit the FTP site, and downloaded the updates that I needed, and have put them in a public google drive folder for anyone to snag. Here's the link:

PROTIP: Make CERTAIN YOU COPY YOUR CDKEY information from the file within the folder before you wipe it, as well as any personal information you may wish to keep (journal entries in game, etc).

Thanks for the quick reply! I have the old dvd version and I installed the Kaldor makeover, so I'm not sure I want to reinstall. I guess I'll try to patch it.
