Light weapon options?
Hi Guys I have been playing a dual wielding Dex based weapon master for the last couple of months. While it is an enjoyable build to play it seems BGTSCC has a dearth of decent Handaxes that are his weapon of choice.
My question is what is the best choice of light weapon that I can dual wield if I were to RCR and go again?
My general thoughts are Kurki or shortsword as there seems to be many with good damage options and AB+'s both at the merchants and the auction house.
Suggestions?

Both are great options to be honest. Kukri is probably a little bit better mechanically thanks to the 18-20 crit range, but I don't think you'll be unhappy with either choice.

There are several Epic Handaxe options, I think the issue is that handaxes haven't made it to an epic vendor yet. I have one that gets 1-6 bonus cold damage, 20% cold resistance and I know there is one that does 1-4 bonus piercing and wounding DC: 18. Pretty sure there are 1 or 2 other ones as well. You could try posting on the Auction forums looking for hand axes and what you can offer in return.

Yeah epic handaxes are missing in the shops
Best availability do you have with maces, as there are many and easily available in shops.
For a WM kukri is the best choice, however epic kukris are also very rare.
Then there is the finessable, but medium rapier

Maces work good. I dont care what people say they are perfectly decent and usable weapons.

Agathion Benedictus: Holy Priest. Retired for now.
Tiax Rules-All: Gnomish madman. Retired permanently.
Exordius Vrass: Cleric/Mage. Currently active.

Re: Light weapon options?
In Baldur's Gate, at the bottom floor of the Blushing Mermaid, there is merchant called Tommy Shackles. He sells a variety of light weapons, such as maces and off-hand 'flails' that should not be mixed with regular 'Flails'. Such as Blackjack with +4 EB and +3 in both stealth skills and The Dark Heart with +4 EB and +2 Vampiric Regeneration.
Thus, if you are going for dual-wielding dexterity based weapon master, I would recommend stealth for your build, and to dual wield flails as something little different.
Note: Those weapons usually cost between 200k-380k with no skill investment in Appraise skill.

Iirc those black market stall flails cannot be finessed, not even the off-hand ones and therefore are only of use to Str based weaponmasters.

Whoops... Someone asked me to test the off-hand flails to see if they are finessable and I forgot about it... Probably need to make a Thread where players can post testing requests so it is easier for me to keep track of them.Tsidkenu wrote:Iirc those black market stall flails cannot be finessed, not even the off-hand ones and therefore are only of use to Str based weaponmasters.
