Literally picking a fight
Hi.
We the rag-tag remnant members of The Council of Wrath, a fairly young band of miscreant misfit shit disturbers, would like to send out a general and open request/invitation to any individual, party, guild or faction who would be interested in some sort of 'Conflict RP'.
We are looking for victims, targets, or opposition to plot our wicked deeds against. Said deeds will vary, depending on which of you volunteer and what you are interested in, or willing to do.
If interested, please send a PM to me with your details, and what you are interested in doing. Be it a single volunteer to be our target or potential victim or a large faction determined to stop us before we conquer the world.
The tricky part will be to create fun and exciting RP with as little meta-gaming as possible.
I will try to get back to you promptly.
Feel free to Reply to this post if you have any general questions, issues or comments.
Also, anyone interested in joining The Council of Wrath, feel free to pm me as well.
That is all, thank you for your time.

I'm up for anything - be it role-played encounter or KOS - feel free to presume that PvP server rules do not exist when interacting with my chars - only normal D&D rules and common sense.

Re: Literally picking a fight
You should know by now but Kory is always up for conflict RP! Yes he is a Favored Soul.....so you will need to be able to do your thing without announcing it most likely. So I hereby re-voke my privilege to RP an OUT. All PvP encounters with ANYONE are to be treated like a real world situation. No announcement needed. DM help? No need for the DM to announce it either! Just come and get some! IF YE DARE!

This made me wonder—and to now ask—why you and your group are not getting more involved in the DM plots + Server Wide Campaign?Tekill wrote: We are looking for victims, targets, or opposition to plot our wicked deeds against. Said deeds will vary, depending on which of you volunteer and what you are interested in, or willing to do.
For example: there are Prayers about Twins out there, and some are looking to acquire them for good purposes...why cannot your Group be out there acquiring them for evil purposes, or at least, to antagonize those that want them, to use to your groups advantage?
There is *supposedly* a Cult of Palemasters that are recruiting to revive their strength and "do something"—I honestly no not IC or OOC what, but its an ongoing interest of some of the Windspell Adventurers Guild—and are none of your Group looking to align with this Cult, or even, to challenge the Cult for SUPREMACY?!?
I was at first taking your Post's Title as a tongue-in-cheek statement, but maybe that IS what you're looking for: actual, IG mechanical PvP war?
Anyway, I guess what I am trying to communicate here, is: though I personally am not asking for your groups attention in conflict, there is plenty of IC and IG avenues to come into conflict with the Windspells, and my own character. And that would be welcome, as as well, not an OOC arrangement beforehand (or worse, meta-gaming, which you yourself are trying to limit as much as possible).

But here is the thing... A player or a group of player are focused towards a singular goal. They have worked long and hard towards it - and then - someone just comes into conflict with them - or just happens to mention some bright idea to a DM... - and all that effort and time is all for naught in but a blink of an eye.Steve wrote:to come into conflict
Speaking of which... Doron Amar... Will burn in dragon's fire... For reason no more than a halfman's ire...

That's kinda selling the Players—and general Role-play—a bit short, don't you think?Comments Only wrote:....and all that effort and time is all for naught in but a blink of an eye.
I speaking from the voice of wanting conflict of a type more than just "I bash you down" type of conflict.

What player were you? Thedran? Rasael with his Banite cleric that mopped me? Re: Literally picking a fight
Hi Tekill,
While I acknowledge that my PCs are low-level, inexpertly built and frequently incompetently played, your group and anyone else are more than welcome to engage them in any PvP that might be appropriate from a RP basis.
Nb- Elspeth is Deluded Evil, so thinks she's not a bad person even while espousing evil philosophies. She'd probably agree to join the Council if put under pressure but she'd be an unreliable ally at best.

Re: Literally picking a fight
right. the group involved is not made up of mongers that are bashim an leave em types. quite the opposite really. they are RPers. so unless it is meant to progress RP and be a part of the story. we will not be playing whack-a-mole with any of you. we just want to know who we can "be evil" with.Steve wrote:That's kinda selling the Players—and general Role-play—a bit short, don't you think?Comments Only wrote:....and all that effort and time is all for naught in but a blink of an eye.

Re: Literally picking a fight
Over the years there have been many, many, many, many IC and OOC disagreements born out of nothing more than general role-play. You know, unless someone is willing to retire a character on a loss, the same characters can keep butting their heads to ad nauseam, year after year, until they just cannot even stand the sight of the other guy. IC:ly, or OOC:ly.Steve wrote:That's kinda selling the Players—and general Role-play—a bit short, don't you think?
And lets face it, even if someone is willing to retire their character, they might still end up 'retiring' their characters due to the same guy or group of players. Hence we are still looking at that same old head butting to ad nauseam.
Not to mention that anyone can have some character that they really like, and it can be very hard to let go.
So against that backround, I kind of understand why this approach is taken. You know, the possibility of ruin and doom of all things is now a matter of your own choice. It might have been unwise in hindsight, but it was your choice to do, so I imagine that it is a whole lot easier to be adult about it.
Oh and if someone thinks that I sound all condescending and painting a picture of how other players here are mere children, well, in a way it is all true. It is all true!

Nah, I just played a dwarven battlerager and challenged you to a fist fight. Nothing more than a honest bout of manly fisticuffs of manliness without any trickery, and you chose the RP out. Not that I can actually blame anyone for not wanting to trade fists with a battlerager.Calodan wrote:What player were you? Thedran? Rasael with his Banite cleric that mopped me? Edit: Battle not had is a battle won.
