Making a good all-round martial character

Unread post by Calantyr »

I'd appreciate some thoughts on this character. The idea is they can survive a lot of punishment, but still do enough damage to overcome DR. Will this build suffice at high levels? AB/Damage enough? AC acceptable? etc.

Switching to DC 4 / AK 10 will gain you two epic feats. Your AB is fine, but not really high enough to make use of IPA... Maybe able to use it if you gulp down a potion of Greater Heroism, Aid and Bless though. Dodge is of no use to your build (1 AC against one opponent is a waste IMO). Cleave is also of limited use and you can probably find something better than lightning reflexes.
Chord Silverstrings - Bard and OSR Squire / Tarent Nefzen - Arcane Wand Merchant and Master Alchemist / Irrace Arkentlar - Drow Adventurer / Finneaus Du'Veil - Gem Merchant and Executive Officer of SCCE

Even with Expose Weakness? Good grief, epic levels are harder than I thought!

You should be able to make do... I mean you just start combat with expose weakness, and just spam it every round until the opponent dies. It might seem like a slow way to get the ball rolling, but it will get rolling. And anyhow, it is not like you need to use NH and IPA active at the same time. You could switch between the two depending on the enemy you face.

- Elminster, probably.
