Master Alchemist blues

Subject: [ FAI, BG ] Sirion's Potions, Wands & Scrolls

It seems True Seeing and Ethereal Jaunt can no longer be made elixirs of. Is this something that can be fixed?

If so and while I'm at it I would like to request a few spells be fixed so you can make them into potions/elixirs:
  • Appraising Touch
  • Darkness
  • Detect Illusion
  • Detect Scrying
  • Detect Undeath: For some reason this gives a potion of mass cure serious wounds at CL 17, for 722gp at level 3 Master Alchemist if it makes a difference. I'd really rather have the potion of detect undeath :o
  • Feeblemind
  • Protection from Petrification
  • Rinse: Don't think about it, just admit you know it'd be awesome
  • Sleep
  • Stone to Flesh: It's not like it isn't a thing
  • Water Breathing
Also, cantrips cost nothing to make potions of. Literally.

Have you tested Dry? Those would be quite useful as some mobs as well as the Minotaur boss cast ice spells which then make you wet and cause electricity damage increases. Carrying around a few potions of dry would get rid of the debuff.

Elixir of Feeblemind, AKA Bottle of Tequila. 8-)

Potions generally only affect the imbiber, so area effects or target spells probably isn't suited for potions/elixirs.

Dry also doesn't work, but then I'm not sure how a potion will make you dry :0 neat trick though!

As for area/target that may be the case mechanically as it is, but I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to go bottoms up on a drink that'll fry your brain. I'm sure adventurers do it all the time.

Greater heroism also doesn't work. Honestly, this class is the kind of thing I'd trick my worst enemy to play.

There's no point making G. Heroism pots anyway when the rudimentary CL 11 version can be bought from Thayan Enclave for ~700gp ea.

Doesn't make it better in any way at all. Class is a trap.

There is a discussion taking place concerning, among other things, potion/elixir crafting. Some things may be re-balanced that will positively affect the class.
