Ogre cave: upperdark too

Unread post by Nyeleni »

Now that Oghrann is open for surface chars, maybe include the ogre cave in the upperdark as well?

After reading the exit there, I think it already is?

To be honest I do not understand those restrictions. Most players seem to ignore them anyway and if caught it doesn't take much creativity to figure out valid reason.

It's about grinding in the wrong place. Not about being on the surface or underdark with the wrong char.

Upperdark yes, Underdark no.

You can do anything with any character from UD or surface in the upperdark. There are three quests as well too.

Sure thing. Only grinding is disallowed. As long as there is a RP reason for you to be there, (like a mission) then I don't see why looting a chest should be against the rules if your character would be inclined to do so.

Happy hunting.

Yes, the Ogre Cave is connected to the UpD. If there are any other caves in the general area of the Upperdark, let me know. Especially caves that rarely get used topside.

it would be nice to get access to some trolls

my thought would be

(small inteior to be made)Troll caves------>Tfunke troll cave

just copy pasta the trolls troll claw east cave and make a small area to kill trolls then have it link to tfunke cave.. no one ever goes there because the shadowstalkers are to much.

and perhaps a troll hide vendor in rockrun.. so we can turn in the troll hides

uppperdark -----> troll cave ------> tfunke troll cave with the boss
troll hide collector in rockrun

Yes, but is it all right if Underdarkers grind in the ogre cave?

My personal opinion is yes it is, since it is not technically on the surface, the dm's will make an official policy on it.

I think the ogre cave should allow rp outs like the rest of the upperdark. It add's another level for drow/ud chars to level up and makes for some interesting rp.

The only problem I see is "if it comes down to who has the rights to grind here sort of thing" that is just ooc behavior in general.

my personal rule of thumb is if I'm grinding some where, and a large party comes around I move on, and leave the area to them or join them if possible.

Most of us have gone through the "grind" battles of xvarts lol and it is all very ooc.

The overall Idea for the upperdark was to create areas where the two sides could meet, and thus more Rp. We could double the use of areas on the server, so we don't have to make 2x the areas, for the surface ud specifically
