Character Gone

My character seemed to be deleted as of the last crash. She no longer shows in the server side character vault.

Char: Klahwa

Any chance of a rollback from previous version?

Did you use disguise?

At least once during the server session yes, can't say if I was disguised at the time of crash, it was all a bit laggy

Did you rename your char to an existing char of yours?

Is it login then change name on the existing char?

Ye, it is a known issue. When you disguise your char in this case Klahwa, to an existing character, izzrar for example, then there will be two character files Izzrar but only one will show in the list. Log one of the Izzrar and if this is the disguised Klahwa click on the remove disguise - problem solved.

If it is not, rename the char using the disguise to something else like test. Log out and back in and now you should have another Izzrar(Klahwa in disguise ) char along with the renamed Test. Log the Izzrar and remove the disguise, do the same for the test after.

Will give it a try in a bit, got to get in some deep breaths after just hypothically losing 5 years worth of gear!

A DM can also rename you if you have any trouble doing it yourself. Basically the game won't let you have two characters in your vault by the same name. So it tends to overwrite the older one with the newer one (though both files are still present and separate).
