Hello --
Been getting hit by traps a lot lately, so I decided to check it out, and walk over a few on purpose. Last night I walked over an acid trap, nailed the Reflex save, and still took damage.
I've also been taking some significant damage from some spike traps -- 45 damage, 60 damage -- If Improved Evasion is working, that means these traps are hitting for 90 and 120? That seems high for CR3-5 areas, which leads me to believe that it's not working. I suspect the Evasion feat might be working, but not Improved.
I'll try to do some more QC on my own, and make some screenshots. In the meantime, anybody know if this is a known issue?

I think there was a change so that evasion does not work in heavy armor.

evasion works just fine vs traps, your problem is that not all traps allow for a save vs damage, let alone a reflex save which is required for evasion
the spike traps though would be hard to say, they should be reflex for half but i dont remember

- My character wears no armor (monk)
- I haven't been able to reproduce it yet today, but I haven't encountered many traps, so...
- Blob of Acid & Acid Splash should both call for reflex saves, right? I do realize that some call for Fort Saves (Neg Energy, for example), and I check those out to make sure, but so far so good.
I'm wondering if it has to do with the re-application of feats before a rest? As a monk, I don't rest much -- I can go hours in between, so maybe that has something to do with it?

no, only acid splash is a reflex save for half; acid blob is a save vs paralysis so you take all the damage regardless
