You may include Halflings and gnomes, too.

And does anybody else know? Because some hairs have already been added that were not originally there...

Re: More Hair-styles for Planetouched
I'm not saying making them from starch. What I mean is implementing some hair options from humans for example, to planetouched.

It only requires a little .2da editing.HamsterHyde wrote:I'm not saying making them from starch. What I mean is implementing some hair options from humans for example, to planetouched.

Re: More Hair-styles for Planetouched
That is the reason why i don't play tieflings here. I would love to try one.
But the way i imagine the character and concept, her heritage and look are not doable here. There are too many hairstiyles with horns. But a tiefling with Rakshasa ancestors for example has no horns, it would rather have cat ears for example.
So i didn't create a tiefling yet, as i wouldn't be able to play the character the way i would like to. To mention it in the description, is not enough as there are too many people who never read descriptions and so wouldn't react like it would be proper.
So i second this thread. Please if possible, could more hairstyles, especialy for long hair -without- horns be added for tieflings?

Re: More Hair-styles for Planetouched
You could always grab a 'haircut' from the barbers, most of those overwrite the hair selected during character creation. A lot of them also cover up Tiefling horns/freckles, so it's possible to play someone who looks like an elf with bloodshot eyes.Seraphine wrote:That is the reason why i don't play tieflings here. Some hairstyles cover up freckles/horns AND pointy ears, so all you have to worry about is the weird eyes.

Re: More Hair-styles for Planetouched
Nice idea, but: 1) The barber has only the short/ half long standard hairstyles and i was looking for long ones. 2) If you wear such a hairstyle, it's a helm model, so you cant wear any headwear with it, right?

The new appearance changer now can change helmets into hairstyle appearances.

Re: More Hair-styles for Planetouched
Yis, it actually works out really well for Tiefling. Since the Tiefling has three bald head options with the three different horn styles. Pick the horns you like, use the new appearance changer to choose your hair without any clipping (since you have no native hair).wangxiuming wrote:The new appearance changer now can change helmets into hairstyle appearances.

Re: More Hair-styles for Planetouched
I did a hair pack for another server years ago. From what I remember, since humans and tieflings share the same base model of a human, it is somewhat easy to convert head and hairstyles between the two. You'll just need the locate the file you want to alter and grab a 2da editor.
The basic naming convention should be this:
P_???_Hair??

[th]2DA Tag[/th][th]Race[/th]

[th]F[/th][th]For Female Characters[/th]

[th]M[/th][th]For Male Characters[/th]

[th]HH[/th][th]Human and similar races.[/th]

[th]HA[/th][th]Aasimar[/th]

[th]DD[/th][th]Dwarf[/th]

[th]EE[/th][th]Elf / Moon Elf[/th]

[th]EH[/th][th]Half-elf[/th]

[th]ER[/th][th]Half-Drow[/th]

[th]GG[/th][th]Gnome?[/th]

[th]AA[/th][th]Halfling[/th]

[th]OO[/th][th]Half Orc[/th]

[th]GY[/th][th]Githyanki[/th]

[th]ED[/th][th]Drow[/th]

[th]EL[/th][th]Elf, Wild[/th]

[th]HT[/th][th]Tiefling[/th]

[th]HE[/th][th]Earth Genasi?[/th]

[th]HI[/th][th]Air Genasi?[/th]

[th]HW[/th][th]Water Genasi?[/th]

[th]HF[/th][th]Fire Genasi?[/th]

[th]EW[/th][th]Wood elf?[/th]

[th]ES[/th][th]Sun Elf?[/th]

So, for a human female, the model could be:
P_HHF_Hair26
Grab that 2da editor and rename the file to something like:
P_HTF_Hair26
From what I remember, you don't even have to rename the texture files or anything. You just need to make sure they are properly linked to the new file and within the same hak pack. You also need to make sure the number you're using isn't already in use by a vanilla hairstyle or another custom one.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong anywhere! Again, this has been about three years since I've touched a 2da file -- but I hope that helps someone.

Hrm. I'm not on the dev team but I can take a look? Or would you all prefer I apply to be on the team first?
