Hello, im looking for alittle help for an old char i played along time ago. But i wasnt to adapt it to the underdark and im looking for alittle help as i dont know anything about this servers underdark atm. The story im going to give you is her orginal story so a few helpful hints or tips or if your willing to help me flush out what i can change to fit into the underdark i would highly appriciate it.
Validra, she is a Tiefling, as a child she was gathered up as one of the many unwanted children due to her race. She, like alot of others were gathered up by one of the sects of the red wizards to see if they could reverse the genetic trait magicly to create a non banishable full fledged demon/devil. Due to the expiements that were conducted many of the children and young tieflings were killed. While others showed promise, Validra's blood was closest to the ice devil's and as such her skin changed hue as did her red eyes. As the experiments continued Validra had realised her blood has begun talking to her *sorcerer awakening*. Through watching her tormentors and her blood she managed to escape with a simple spell of invisability.
**please keep in mind this is very short handed theirs more involved but i just wanted to give a brief run through of how and why she looks the way she is and looks more ice devil like then most**

Moved to Tips & Tricks Roleplaying forum!
In regards to your request, sometimes you can build up more depth to your background by doing a little reading around. For example, this is an ice devil. Pick a minor trait or two they have and reflect that in your character. It is important not to roleplay, or attempt to roleplay, major infernal traits like attacks, abilities or powers because they do not exist on your character's sheet. Simple things like horn shape, tail shape, skin colour, skin texture (eg, icy) are okay because they are cosmetic only.
Then, develop the history a bit more. Red Wizard experimentation is a bit cliche, for example, so why not have a history as a research subject for the worshippers/practitioners of a cult of Levistus, Lord of Stygia or Mephistopheles, Lord of Cania, the two cold/icy/frozen layers of the Nine Hells. This certainly fleshes it out a bit more than 'some Red Wizards.'
As for ending up in our server's underdark, Sshamath is a relatively 'free' city, as far as the drow go anyway, and for one with magical talent your tiefling can enjoy that to a degree, although being a sorcerer and not a wizard will push her down the rungs a few notches. You can read more lore about Sshamath here.
Do ask further if you have more questions about this. There are plenty around who are able to help fleshing out backgrounds and that kind of thing.

People do not seem to like the ol' Red Wizard's hurt me once trope here, I've found! *murmurs about receiving similar criticism from his previous ex-slave thread*
lol jk. I actually think Tsid's suggestion is pretty awesome. Definitely a worthy alternative!

Re: Char building.
Thank you i will read up more on the underdark areas, as far as rping traits of an Ice devil, it mostly is just cosmetic stuff. the bio i left isnt complete it was just glossing over things to give people a general overview. Eventually when i leveled i would go into ice mage to imitate what they had done growing stronger her body growing a layer of ice and such becoming more adept to the cold.
one minor question are the worshippers/practitioners of a cult of Levistus, Lord of Stygia or Mephistopheles, Lord of Cania in the underdark? i could defenitly use them in place of the red wizards.
thank you agian.

Sure. And dark, out of the way caverns are ideal locations for such activities.
