Back when I was a DM, I had to set up a fair in Beregost nearly a dozen times because DDOS attacks kept crashing the server -- and I completely refused to be beaten by a DDOSer.
By the end of the day, I had the muscle memory to set up that fair in my sleep.
A server crash is 10x worse for a DM in the middle of DMing an event than it is for a player in the middle of being in one!
