Cleric With Trickery Doamin Invisibility Scrolls

Unread post by papainhell »

Hello,

Have a monk / cleric / sacred fist that decided to scribe an invisibility scroll and it worked but is unable to use the scroll.

Character does have access to trickery domain allowing access to invisibility plus scribe scroll feat.

Longstanding NWN issue (spanning both 1 & 2). When a cleric has a domain spell, eg. Invisibility, it is still treated in every respect as the vanilla spell. In Invisibility's case it is Wiz/Sorc/Bard only, meaning once scribed by a cleric, even with the requisite domain, it remains unusable without UMD.

I would say it would be too much of a headache for Devs to change this because if all domain spells were given a "Usable by cleric" tag, that would mean -every- cleric could use it, not just clerics with the particular domain.

To give you an alternative, though, you can buy Invisibility potions from the Thayan Enclave (BG - East Gate or Sshamath Marketplace). That should help you in the meantime.
