Background:Born in the streets of Sshamath likely to some slave, Iarya was orphaned when she was very young. She eventually found employment at a local inn. Having been picked on her entire life by her drow neighbors and suffering several tortures at their hands, a priest of Shar took her under his spiritual guidance. As she neared adulthood, she developed an innate talent for the Art likely empowered by her fiendish heritage. Some time after the priest left Sshamath to spread his faith elsewhere, Iarya continued her worship of Shar and spying on the drow of Sshamath for the church. For her devotion, Shar whispered the secrets of the Shadow Weave to Iarya as she murdered a drow that had tortured her in her youth.
