A question about battleaxe drops?

Normally I dont like to be this person, but I just have a question regarding battleaxe items and them being on the random gear drop table.

I decided to go with regular battleaxe for my my weapon type for Teria. I understand that it is not a optimal weapon choice, though at the time of my characters RCR I did not realize how little it was seen or used on the server.

I understand that the RNG regarding loot drops comes and goes, and I accept this. With this in mind I have yet to see a single one drop in the 17 levels of Teria's adventurer life style . No trash one that has bad skills on it, none that even have negative stats or as mundane as +1 enhancement. I have seen many great axes , hand axes, and dwarven war axes of various types. I have noticed a few that can be bought by merchants (+1,+2,+3 and the cleric aruil axe in BG) but nothing in the wild. (as a side note I saw ONE battle axe that differed from these stats in the AH. +1 enhance , Keen.)

If it is just my luck being absolutely terrible , well its baffling but I can accept that. If its something mechanically preventing them from dropping then I would ask if someone could look into it?

I have played for years, on and off, and I have gotten many, many battle axes from loot. I have also seen them sold in the in game consignment store. You just have to go through all axes to see whether they are Great, Battle, Hand, or Dwarven.

Yeah I have gone through them all and watched the consigment really diligently. Maybe its just bad luck. Thanks for the response

Sorry to say that it's luck of the draw.

I've seen alot, junk and equippable alike.

I have similar issues with other item types specific to a character build. Never seen them drop for me, but rely on them appearing in consignment store and forums auction house.

But there is not a single one sold in the hell shop at all.
And out of my head i cannot remember any decent ones (with some extras) sold in any shop at all.

You're right, haven't seen many, unlike other types. But think i've seen a few.

Battleaxe is not a weak weapon choice. On the contrary. For High AC bosses, less crit range/higher multiplier work better.

Like many other weapons though, they dont drop often especially ones with different material than iron - which again is the case with every other weapon.

There are some good battleaxes in game though. My personal favorite is the vilebite - Cold Iron, +4EB, 2 vamp regen, 1 negative damage, 1 Piercing damage
