Been playing a wizard a bit lately which got me thinking about scribe scrolls. He's poor as dirt so I haven't simply tried making one yet....

What changes have been made here on the server? My understanding is that a scroll can be scribed at any caster level up to the CL of the scribed? Is that true, or does it only scribe at full CL? Can a scroll be scribed from any casting, such as a magical item or wand? What's the equation for gold cost?

Also, when learning new spells from scrolls, I've seen some have a spellcraft check over 100? How is that anything like realistic? Those scrolls are rare and expensive too.

33 (spellcraft skillpoints)
+12 (Int mod of 34)
+4 (Greater Heroism)
+2 (Courteous Magocracy)
= 51 Spellcraft before items.

Assuming more spellcraft from items, and trying to hit 90... you'd still need another 39 skill points from your items to give a 50% chance on the spellcraft roll. Seems more likely you'd have to hope for a natural 20.

Might be helpful to list the spells which have 100 DC spellcraft to scribe. That is definitely a bug; no spell should have a DC to learn exceeding 29.

Only ones I have seen so far were level 9 arcanes. I know one was Mords, Power Word Kill, Energy Drain, Shades, Etherealness, and Meteor Swarm are ones that did it to me yesterday. I'm fairly sure the other ones were also 9th level spells, but that was a week or more ago, so I forgot which.
