Bardic Music capping at 20/day

Desmodu is a level 12 Bard, level 10 Stormsinger, and level 3 Blackguard.

He SHOULD have 22 uses of Bardsong per day. However, he only has 20. It's been capped somehow.

Help?

I'd be very interested too, especially if Extra Music would be affected by this cap too or break it. If there's a hard cap at 20 I wouldn't take Extra Music on my current bard build, who needs otherwise as much music as possible.

No way around it, only bard 30 get 30 songs. If you go past 23 bardic levels you'll be given extra songs feat to compensate as much as possible but that's it.

So what is the story here? Are bard songs capped at actual bard levels, unless there is a PrC present, in which case it is bard levels + PrC levels to a max of 20? I assume the only PrC's which would have a chance of progressing bard songs per day are Stormsinger and Dissonant Chord? Is this an engine limitation or something QC has put a limit on because it was deemed OP?

It's just engine, Obisidian made nice feats for the first 20 bard songs so things can progress normally for any bard + bard PRC below 20... and then did something awful for the 20-30 levels where it's tied strictly to the bard level, 21 songs come at bard 21, 22 at 22 and so on.

At least it seems like you can raise the cap to 24 with Extra Music. I leveled up my recent bard (using just 5 bard, rest bard PrCs) using JEGs, took Extra Music somewhere on the way and ended up with 22 songs.

Yes, hence what I said before, the extra song feats is given at login if you should have 24 songs or more.
