Bladed Crossbow- sup wit dis???

Questions about the Bladed Crossbow, found at the epic store in BG.
So the description describes it as having blades. Does that mean it can be used as a melee weapon?!
It also has an Enchantment bonus (+4) instead of an attack bonus. Enchantment bonus on bows is a bit confusing...
Does enchantments on bows/crossbows just translate to attack bonus?
or
Does that mean if I use it with non magical bolts its going to do an extra +4 damage?
or
If I add elemental damage bolts or enchanted bolts will that stack with this +4 damage
or would it do the greater of the two?

It also does slashing damage (d4). Is that on top of the arrow damage and the bows enchanted damage?
So bow damage + plus arrow enchantment + crossbow enchantment (4) + D4 slashing?
TGTBT- so whats the real deal with this weapon?

Attack will be at +4 (+4 Enhancement)

Damage will be at +4 (+4 Enhancement; does not stack with bolt/piercing enhancement but will stack with elemental bolts)

Eg.

1d10 piercing + 4 EB (piercing) + 1d4 slashing + dX Elemental Bolts.

Generally if you want damages to stack you need to get it from different types. The only major exception to this is magic/divine damage types. They will always stack (eg. Divine Favor +3, Inspire Courage +5, Enlarge Person +3 = +11 magic damage)
