Monster Name Color

i was fighting some monster ad it it me that yellow name was some kind of boss or rare encounter but me and my bro encounter mob whit diferent shading of purple ... is there a color code system to say those are weaker then this version ????

yes

purple - normal (white - normal. The color scheme was just forgotten here.)
deep purple - stronger ones (usually spawn as a group)
yellow - boss/rare

None of them drop anything important.

The yellow ones have a higher chance to drop better loot and give higher xp
