1/121 Toril, 105 of 1/10, 670th Great Rotation
So, while I know none are to read these words but myself, perhaps when I have passed another will hold this book and that unknowable soul would almost undoubtedly be puzzled by the date I have written above.
So, both to expand their horizons as well as reinforce the research in my own mind I will explain. The traditional calendar of Harptos, while in wide use upon Faerun and other material lands is somewhat insufficient for Planar beings, who use their own calendars. The above is my adoption and Adaptation of one of those calendars for my own use.
Whereas the Calendar of Harptos bases itself in the passage of seasons, this calendar is based upon the drift of the planes themselves, with Great Rotations being the span of time required for the plane to pass one full rotation of the multiverse, beginning with the foundational event that created the multiverse as we know it. Among the Great Rotations are the Material References, which I found intriguing due to the possible implication that there are other material realms, though it is possible that I misinterpreted the meaning.
If I am to understand the Implications of the Calendar, it would imply there are ten other material realms to which these Planar Beings use as reference for their timekeeping. Though again, such a claim is fantastic and I am loath to stick to it until further clarification can be acquired.
Their years are determined by dividing the time it takes to pass a material reference by a hundred, and each of those hundredth's is a year, a period of time lasting roughly Nine Hundred days.
Each year is further divided into a ninth which lasts One Hundred days. There appears to be significant political upheaval over the naming of Ninths with the matter being one of great debate. The above appears to be an apolitical option, though records indicate it's usage may anger those who adhere to other naming schema.
Performing a calculation, based both upon the records in which I uncovered this system of dates, and the traditional Harptos Calendar, I have decided upon the above date and this system shall be in further use within this tome, should he see fit to wait yet longer.
