Proposal for use of Knowledge (Local) Skill.

Hey guys.

So I have taken Knowledge (Local) with my Thayan Red Wizard, and I have a house rule that I use in my Pen and Paper games that I think would be pretty cool if we could implement here.

So the rule is: Every five ranks in Knowledge (Local) allows you to choose an additional Regional Language such as Thayan, Mulhorandi, Chultan, etc. In addition whenever you use your Knowledge (Local) skill you may apply that knowledge to any Region with which you possess their Regional Language. For example: If you have 5 ranks in Knowledge (Local) and choose the Thayan language you may make Knowledge (local) checks on information regarding the nation of Thay as well as the region you originally chose.

What do you think? Is this too good? Not good enough? Thoughts? Feedback? Witticisms?

Maybe turn this into a feat? Call it "Well-Travelled?"

Languages are traditionally determined by your Intelligence score.

Lore: Geography
Lore: Arcana represents your knowledge of lands, terrain, climate, people.

Using Local Lore to know about a region would snuff out Lore: Geography, wouldn't it?

Perhaps an additional language if you hold 10 ranks in both Local and Geography? Or even 15 ranks in both so it doesn't get out of hand?
