Is Vampiric feast worth the feat?

Hello all,

i was just wonder about the epic feat - vampiric feast, is this worth giving up an epic feat for?

i noticed that it has a fort save (+5 dc?)

how often can it be used, etc...

Vampiric Feast can be used once per rest, and tends to cause significant damage to most everything.
Even if the enemies pass the fort save, they lose half the hp, which in itself is horrendously evil.

That said, in RP, about 75-80% of the server will likely give you trouble over using it because it is -stupidly- nasty and obvious.

I'd probably pick Epic Mass Fowling over it unless you want to roleplay a blatantly obvious necromancer out to antagonize everyone, honestly.

but for what-ever reason warlocks are not allowed to have it...

Overall Vamp feast is the best spell in the game for epic spells. It kills targets around and heals you.

I'm not an experienced warlock player, but I can't imagine ever picking an epic spell over another blast dice feat. Sure, the epic spells are good, but blasts are your bread and butter. It's what you use all the time. I personally prefer that bread and butter being as good as at all possible.

VF is probably the most powerful and deadly epic spell there is. I have seen people use it to wipe out entire groups in a single casting. There is no defense against it and it works 90% of the time. You can end pvp in a single round using it so definitely take it.

It's a great feat but do keep in mind what Korchas said. It is evil and it does reanimate so if people see you using it you will be called a necromancer. Personally though i would go with Deathgrowl, it has greater impact but you won't use it any where near as much as you would the extra blast dice.
