mithril armor bug?

I have a set of mithril armor and i would like to change its appearance.

i have tried the guy in BG that will change your apperance he will not touch mithril armor and used to take you to somewhere else to mess with mithril and required some book, but now just says ask a dm

i have tried the appearance kit and the issue with that, is it causes both appearances to show, namely the shoulderpads and that odd wing on the left shoulder. whichever piece is larger will show

if a dm that knows the issue or a fix to it sees me online (username coldfire2038) or anyone who knows a good fix to it wants to post here i will check for it and love you forever!

Use the app-kit to remove all the armor parts you don't like, then change it to the appearance you like.

(Maybe you need to change the armor type first, so you can better see all the parts.)


And yeah, it's sad that the old mithral-changer was broken and no one bothered to fix it again.
As it was way quicker to use and not so much of a fizzle as to remove all the armor parts one after another.

the changing armor parts seems to work well, thank you, its a bit tedious but it thankfully gets rid of that weird wing lol. thank you so much
