So...have you seen the latest:
It's coming whether you like the idea or not (or whether you care if it has ANYTHING to do, story-wise, with I and II).
I mean, damn...it looks beautiful. I watched and waited until the Q&A, hoping that someone would ask the PERTINENT questions of a) multiplayer; b) toolset, but nope.
Thoughts?

Veeeery excited for this. As far as multiplayer goes, they do state that it's online co-op up to 4 people on their Steam page.

I read that the same company made Divinity 1 & 2 which they have a toolset for that players can use. It has some similarities to the toolset that NWN2 uses (with some differences too, of course).
That said, everything I have read today sounds like 4 player co-op. If that is the only way, lame.

It will be up to 4 player co-op, as someone who finished Divinity Original Sin 2 (game that BG3 is loosely based on) I'm very excited.
True, I hoped for active pause since I was used to it in DND games but I will take turn base combat too if it will be atleast as polished as in DOS2.

BG3 on Steam wrote:Player-initiated turn-based mode allows you to pause the world around you at any time even outside of combat. Whether you see an opportunity for a tactical advantage before combat begins, want to pull off a heist with pin-point precision, or need to escape a fiendish trap. Split your party, prepare ambushes, sneak in the darkness -- create your own luck!

I am looking forward to it, even if I have some reservations about the dialogue system!

Definitely gonna buy that, maybe they'll create a better multiplayer in future games.

Because wizards had faith in Larian, cause they have been making pretty damn good games in the genre.
