I searched the forums some for this but could not find an answer, what I want to know is, if I set a player to hostile, do they appear on map with survival? thanks

Re: Survival and hostile
Assuming they are not stealthed (or invisible without see invisibility maybe?, would need to check) yes they will become another brown dot.

To see someone on the mini-map with survival if they are hidden or invisible, you have to have the scent feat. As far as I recall, orcs get it and thats about it.

Re: Survival and hostile
no, survival is fully apart of the stealth mechanics, scent is just the cheat/shortcut
survival only (suppose to at least, there are some weird glitches with it) works against small creatures, to work against large creatures and humanoids you need the feat track - without track you cant find players regardless; scent is just another form of track
if the person has stealth or invisibility you can not track them without being able to counter their status; invis you need blindsight/true seeing and stealth you need detection high enough to spot them and then they will appear on the mini map
