Shout out to the amazing BTSCC Community

I just have to say I am really impressed with the friendly and supportive nature of this community and with the emphasis on role play over competition. I'll admit I've avoided MMORP games for years because my experience in the early days was in a game where gangs of high-level thugs would wait just inside PvP areas for hapless low-levels to wander into so they could ambush them and strip their corpses. My experience here has been much different. I've accidentally blasted high-level players mistaking them for bandits only to have them laugh it off when I apologize when I know they could have turned me into sausage. I've had strangers come to my aid when I'm in a tough battle for no reason at all. I even had someone warn me about stepping into a dangerous room, which of course I ignored because I thought I could handle it, then when I predictably died, he unexpectedly raised me when he could have justly said "they got what they deserved". All I could offer was incredulous thanks. I'm still new to this world but I have to say the spirit of community and good sportsmanship here is really refreshing.

Sometimes I think this community can be too hard on itself for all the things we don’t get right. But ultimately, people here are generally well meaning and fun to play with, it is what keeps most of us around.

Newb on the server, it's been refreshing how people handle things here. Everyone is helpful and even when we are RPing what should be mortal enemies (me a necromancer, them a good guy), they still respect my low level and dont just try to gib me. I am really surprised a community like this even exists.
