Now that the nests have filled up...I mean cleaned up, this quest should too, right?

Why? - just bring it back.
Or delete all the low-level Qs from Soubar.
If the most interesting starter dungeon up there is no longer available......what's the point then.

What do you mean ? The place where rats were was cleaned and is used, the quest doesn't make sense anymore and it's one of those little things where player actions actually have an impact

Among other posts. This was ongoing for a long time, and involved several characters (and probably more that I'm unaware of). Three cheers for player initiative being rewarded in a concrete manner.
I understand that losing a quest is tough, but I imagine something will soon take its place.
