Somewhat related, the worg companion is also pretty tiny, which doesn't feel appropriate for a worg. Feels like it should be the size of telthor, rather than normal wolves.

According to Draconomicon, blue dragon wyrmling is 3 feet tall, so it really depends how old the dragon is to really say if it's too big or too small, I would recommend taking a look at the lore books before jumping to conclusions.

Isnt the companion tied to alignment? I am not sure why a good dragon would associate with a drow, assuming it is evil anyway.

The good dragon might not have a choice.
Just because a creature is a companion, doesn't mean it is a willing one.
I wouldn't put it past a drow ranger to force a brass dragon into servitude. Seems to fit the whole drow culture of power above all.

except thats exactly what it generally means, you perform a calling for a companion and one answers, there is no forcing anything to take that role

dont confuse companions and familiars with normal summons and bindings

Then it wouldn't be an animal companion...
