Etherealness doesn't work (i.e. true sight mobs and bosses still target and attack you directly) when the character is under the effects of invisibility or greater invisibility.
When the character is not under the effects of (greater) invisibility, etherealness works as intended.
This becomes quite a pain if said character relies on greater invisibility for concealment during combat, and midway through decides to cast ethereal jaunt. True sight mobs and bosses continue to pummel that poor character despite his ethereal status.
And yes, I'm aware that mobs will continue their attacks till the end of their flurry, as well as auto-attacks from the ethereal character due to standing too close to the mob -- but no, the bug I'm reporting after repeated testing is that etherealness simply doesn't seem to work when applied to a character who is already under the effects of (greater) invisibility.

Re: Etherealness and invisibility bug
its been a long known bug that the two dont work well together and will break ethereal and i have never heard of anyone being able to do anything good about it
the only thing i can think of is if when you have ethereal up it stops invis from taking effect or if you have invis up then ethereal dispels invis... but now we are talking about wasting spells via script which is probably not the best idea
its definitely one of those dont do that things tho

Re: Etherealness and invisibility bug
I, for one, would more than welcome etherealness canceling invisibility if that's the only viable way to script it. I reckon spellcasters who saw the need to cast etherealness despite having invisibility on are likely in desperate situations indeed. Caught off-guard by true sight mobs, anyone?
As for etherealness stopping invis from taking effect, I think that's not too necessary. Again, spellcasters who despite having etherealness, yet saw the need to add on invis (most likely greater invis for the concealment effect), surely must know what they are doing.
