DM Emo's Events

Unread post by Inomed »

Group of brave adventurers (with few more or less brave) rescued a helpless child from the gnolls, and after that from the orcs as the small child run away from them in fright after getting scared.

As she was hiding, the group got attacked by orcs but the companions took care of the greenskins and got the kid out from her hiding place, after that she got carried to Baldurs gate on piggybag as the other group members protected the carrier from orc attacks.

In the end, the child got home and rewarded the adventurers with stones she had found from a small pouch that was left in the hole she was hiding.

"Drums of war : The attack"

What is left of sharptooth now.. The grass is withered, died under iron boots, animals gone, too afraid to come back.

A few days ago, that area hold a terrible force, two orc clans joining forces, the Clan on the Bloodrock and the Clan of the Sharptooth. Bloodrock had brought their slaves with them, throught the dark tunnels they went so that no eyes could see their coming, no man would be waiting at the gates of Candlekeep for their initial attack, alas, luck was not on their side, as few scouts from Candlekeep spied upon this army, even though another of the scouts were captured, one got away. Just in time to warn Candlekeep.

The clans chiefs hurried their plans, and sent their army to greet Candlekeep with fire and blade, before they could bolster their defences, little did they know, that Candlekeep would not be the only place under attack...

Kalume, sonbalin, Amber Anima, Raymond Hyvarinen, Graham Tennesson, Moldrister Karene and Vicala Caera took a mission that involved allmost certain death for the party.

As the drums of war shook the very foundations of the earth itself, and hundreds of legs stomped the grass dead, this small party went deep behind enemy lines with only one thought in their heads, kill the orc chiefs.

After making deep to the forrest of Sharptooth, they throw down their secretness, and faced the enemy. Ogers had been brought from the mountains, and wyvers were tamed to be used as pets, not to mention the terrible number of orcs that they faced.

As sun started to lower down, the hill was covered with blood, few out of luck orcs heard a scream with odd language, and immediately they dropped down to the ground. Last time they heard those same words, only a few moments ago, a hole of burned orc flesh and clear earth was left in its wake.

They were fast to learn.

They tried to get up, but too late, another was stomped dead by its own friends, another had its head crushed as it tried to stand up.

The party literally fought for every step they took, never giving in, never letting their shield, swords and spells drop. Even when one of their own party members got surrounded and beaten down they kept on climbing the hill.

The orc army in Candlekeep were not any luckier, as the final waive had been destroyed and as the chieftains had word of this, the siege group was bolstered with orcs, ogers and wyverns from the woods.

That was the first, and last mistake of the Chieftains, as the path to the temple where they hold their meeting was cleared, the companions had no trouble heading inside.

The Chieftains and the companions allmost immediately crossed swords, chieftain of the sharptooth was left alive, but after being insulted, took the only honorable way, and throw himself against the companions, soon joining the dead Chieftain of the Bloodrock on the ground.

After a while, the companions headed down from the hill, battered, bloodied but still, victorious. If it had not been for these brave souls, it might have been that the orcs could have won the day.

"When a big house crumbles down, it smashes many small ones"

Nie was standing just outside Candlekeep. She had been there for a while, waiting for her father.

Jason Wheat, her father went to meet the orcs, it was his duty as a guard and she accepted it, but just before he hurried to the gates, Nie gave him a amulet. One that she had got from her mother few years ago, just before she passed to the realm she could not follow.

It was the most important thing she had.
Thats why she gave it to him.
So that he would come back, that he would promise to give the amulet back to her.
But still, after the smokes of war were gone, after the drums from far and near were silent and the corpses carried away, he did not return.

A woman came to her, one named Auriel, she was sure that the elven woman was a princess, so beutiful she was. They talked, and Auriel learned why she was waiting, and who.
Another man, one that Nie had seen many times before, one that her father Jason said to be a important man came to them. Nie vaguely remember his name was Valerius. Valerius listened to them talk, and set off to the infirmary, to find the girls father, only to hear from a nurse that he had died to his wounds.

Valerius brought the grim news to Auriel, and Auriel was left with the task of telling the news to the young child.

Not beleiving her ears, she told about the amulet, and that it was impossible for him to be dead, as he had not returned it.

Auriel, Valerius and Arivain set off to infirmary, going to bring the girl her amulet. Nie was left to the inn to eat and rest.

Jasons corpse did not have the amulet, and the nurse vaguely remembered someone bandagin Jason, she had been too busy and did not pay attentiont to the person helping and could not be of much use.

After that the party found another guard, named Brian, who was more of use. Brian had been there, helping the woundeds too, and remember the man. As Brian had spent his youth in Beregost, he remember seeing him there before, and the party set off, Valerius left behind because of his work in Candlekeep.

A man named William Phoenix joined the two at this point, and they headed to beregost, just to get ambused by a lonely oger, one that had been lost from the main army, in the attack. It was hungry, and was easily subdued and made to talk. As the party tried to get the oger to come to Candlekeep for questioning, it accidentally mentioned someone else travelling the same path, a man with a shiny thing with himself.

Auriel and William set off to Beregost, knowing they would find the culprid there, and Arivain staid with the oger, trying to get it to come to Candlekeep, with not much of luck. In the end, the oger got too hungry, and tried to eat him, quickly ending to be wormfood.

As Auriel and William searched for the man, they finally ended in Fedelpost inn. they waited for a long time, and William was forced to leave, leaving Auriel alone.

She stayed there, and after awhile, a toothles man came in, fitting the description she had from the Guard Brian.

She examined him for a while, and they got to talking.
After a few rude remarks and come ons, Auriel accepted the "invitation" to get in at one of the rooms.

Inside the room, away from prying eyes, Auriel demanded to know had the man visited Candlekeep, and perhaps robbed bodies, at this, the man answered with drawing his dagger, and attacking her. He was soon dead.

Auriel took the amulet and travelled back to Candlekeep, where Nie was waiting, she was tired and weary, after hearing what had happened, the girl finally accepted her faith, she refused to took the amulet back, giving it to Auriel.

There was no point in holding a item that would remind her for his fathers lies.
She turned her small back on Auriel and walked away, she would need to take care of herself now.
She had grown up.

Part one: I will search for you

Dallanthel Wyndsoul and Justin Crownsilver met a undead guard at the ports of Durlags tower, warning them from entering the upper floor as their master was resting in there. As expected, the men did not heed the guards words, but went forward to the upper levels, after fighting a few guards, who where now hostile to them, they finally reached the upper floor.

It standed there, old and magnificent. Vague lines of elf sihuet could be seen under the everburning flames of magic themself, when it spoke, nature stopped to listen in fear, when it walked, air itself burshed away from its path.

Wyndsoul and Crownsilver felt the blood from leaving their veins, but weirdly, the thing was not hostile.

The companions gathered their bravery and started to demand information, after a long and difficult talk, they learned that... what ever it was, was serching, searching for his lost loves name, it could not pass to the other realm without knowing it, it would not. He would not find her from there without her name, and he needed it.

After a few more inquieries the Thing remembered that it was vaguely been something like Wyndsoul, allmost.. It statet itself to be, or atleast had been, part of the Ilythiir tribe, and was confused when not finding his race from the surface.

The age of the creture was terrible, as was its powers, with long teeths Wyndsoul agreed to aid the creature in finding the name of his lost love, as fighting it could be perilous, and they made the Thing promise that once they had the name, it would let his guards rest, and pass on to the other side too, the Thing, gladly accepted.

The companions searched far and wide, not finding the name, or any leads. Their knowlidge of old tales and songs were not the best one, and Wyndsoul got a idea, perhaps the spirit in Elfsong would know more?

The Thing was left waiting at the Tower, eagerly hoping for news. As it had travelled far and wide, in the search of the names, but the old cities, old places, and old tales, had been eather forgotten or destroyed, and noone ever helped it, everyone just attacked it. Perhaps these two companions could finally bring him the rest and sleep on her loves side, that he so hoped for.
