Improved Knockdown OP

Case:

A fighter with a 26 strength enters into combat with a foe with improved knockdown and then spends half the battle flat on his/her back...WTF?

Is there a skill or trick or prayer that can help to overcome this OP'd effect?

~ tired of napping during a fight.

You could increase your size, being larger than the foe helps even the odds or puts them in your favor, depending on the size ratio.

- High Dodge AC or concealment will help you avoid this, since a Knockdown attempt requires a successful melee touch attack.
- Enlarge Person will not protect you against Knockdown, but Polymorph will
- You can get Knockdown immunity from Foundation of Stone and Storm Avatar spells

In the skill list there is something called "Discipline", why does this skill not show up for skill point allocation?

From what i remember from NWN1 this skill was used to combat the OP "Improved Knockdown" feat.

It's not a skill used on the server. Generally most martials can be thwarted with quite a few spells, if a caster.
If you're a sneak it's a bit harder to deal with such characters, since sneaky people tend to suffer more against high STR foes in a lot of cases. Ranged Sneak people are rather dangerous at times though.

Knock down is strong but between some spells and classes, or simply being a fast boi, there's some counters to be had. Though if not a caster, you're likely just going to need to make a PvP build based around getting past that, if your intent is to PvP. Some spells suggested above can likely be placed on wands, if you have UMD as well.

Dealing with this all depends on your build, and your intentions when building a character. That's going to be the answer to most mechanics and how to bypass them though! Hopefully you have access to one of the tools above. Planning can get you past some pretty significant PvP scenarios in some cases.

Kd can be only defence for martial character from popular HIPS assasins with ton of sneak damage.

Just tried the thief Acrobat for it's "Kip Up" ability (knockdown immunity) in the xvart area and the bear owned me just the same, it still knocked me down ALOT...

buggy?

Can we get the STR modifier of our characters added to our touch armor class vs knockdowns?
I think that would balance things out a bit...

Oh, are you reading from "Knockdown : hit"?
Basically, Kip up is not meant to make you immune to knockdown, but, it negates all the downsides of being knocked down. In other words, you don't become harder to hit and you get up immediately. Though, as far as i remember, in Nwn2 it should provide knockdown immunity, so thanks for specifying where you get KDed, i will test it.

UPD. After fighting it for almost 10 min straight, it didn't make a single attempt to knock me down. rogue 12/TA 5/ SD1 QC pc, 22 AC, not hipsing.
UPD1. Checking the creature in toolset, Mrookhai does have knockdown feat, it's just AI cheating thing, it seems. Next time this happens, please make a screenshot of your PC lying on ground with "can't do it right now" when you try to move. It seems AI fights QC attempts to test it :)

The Thief Acrobat may only do this if she is wearing light or no armor and is unencumbered.
