Bodak's Glare zombie

Currently, the spell Bodak's Glare uses a zombie of HD 2. Could this be bumped up? Let the thing survive more than one attack, or at least look cooler than a run-of-the-mill zombie.

We actually have a bodak NPC... one of them tried to stare Virin to death in the Shadow Plane the other day. :|

Funnily enough, bodaks are listed as 10 minimum HD on SRD, up to whopping 27 HD. Maybe, tie it to destroyed creature HD with same ceiling as summons have?

These only last round/level on BG so it would be a good suggestion.

The PnP version is permanent but the transformation takes 24 hours, although the resulting bodak is not under the caster's control (ask Anthem Arnmeiger in the church of Shar dungeon about that 8-) pic <<<----- )

Another option is to make the BG version hostile to the caster as well, requiring an additional Control Undead/Rebuke Undead action and making the spell that much more dangerous to all concerned.

The spell is already strong without a summon. If the zombie can be changed to Bodak, that's cool. Makes it a little bit more special. Doesn't have to be crazy HD, there are other spells for that.

I vote for texture change. Bodak is nice and orange, that would be cool to see.

Well, looking from spell script, it's definitely possible to change the summon. But which exact and how strong it should be is a matter to discuss. We didn't touch this topic yet as there are some bugfixing and big projects that eat up time :)
