Elthri Szak - Ventures of necromancy

Elthri Szak grew up in the forlorn tunnels of the underdark. In her youth, a paladin of the surface came to prove his mettle and killed her mother. She was tragically pregnant with her unborn brother at the time. Her father swore vengeance and set off to kill the paladin. Elthri never saw her father again. She spent her time living as her parents taught her, studying her fathers books of the arcane, surviving in isolation. Eventually, she set off to Sshamath in order to pursue her studies.

Entry one

My first days in the city have been... unexpected. I saw at least two surface dwellers roaming the streets. Do they not know of their treachery? The evil they bring?

I've found work slaying bugs for a chef, enough to sleep tonight.

Entry two

I have taken a job rounding up slaves that have escaped into the tunnels. The work pays slightly more than the bugs, yet they put up considerably more of a fight. A warrior from house Zau'afin met me in the tunnels as I was searching for the rebel slaves leader. She two was searching for the scum. Fast friends, we quickly found the cur and put it down. She told me of the glory of her house, potential opportunity for me there. Though I came here for the renowned schools of magic, perhaps my path leads me down a different road.

Entry three

Lolth, who is this god? My fathers writings made no note of such. The house Zau'afin are ardent followers, they've assured me that Lolth would not stand to see surfacers among the drow. Take them as slaves -- as sacrifice. I cannot deny that it is my true desire to see them treated as such. For my mother, my father, I would see their kind ground into the dirt.

Perhaps this spider queen can lead me to the salvation, the vengeance, that I have craved.
